McGee has truly fit right in. He brings joy, he brings uncontrollable laughter, he brings “doggy pile” cuddles, and most importantly unconditional love. I couldn’t imagine a life without him.

Meet Max

Just wanted to thank you for bringing Max (Teddy) to Washington State.  We adopted him two weeks ago today (August 2018) and he has brought us many smiles.  When we adopted him the Kitsap Humane Society said that because he came from Texas, and they only had him for a short time, they did not know much about him so we took a leap of faith and adopted this wonderful dog.  We found out that he is housebroken, and he loves to go for walks, he knows sit and lay down, and he loves, loves, loves treats.  We find out something new about him everyday. Here are some pictures of him.  Once again thank you for bringing Max to us.

Nala

A year since Nala’s Gotcha Day. Her name was Calene at Lockhart. Still living her best life leaning on her boy’s lap while snoozing on the couch. We have worked a lot in increasing her daily mileage to build strong muscles around the hip dysplasia area and she now can keep up with most activities. She is now 2 years old. Thank you to the shelter staff at Lockhart for sending this marshmallow dog to the Northwest. Our daughter with Down Syndrome used to be scared of dog and now sometimes hand feeds Nala! Perfect mellow dog to teach Rachel that not all dogs bark or jump on you!

Ginger

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you are doing to save dogs' lives and in particular, for bringing Ginger to us!! We adopted Ginger (formerly known as Tilly) from our local animal shelter, PAWS, in Lynnwood, WA last year and she has been a true blessing to us! This is the first time we have adopted a dog from a shelter and we feel so lucky to have found her.  She is the sweetest dog imaginable - loves to cuddle, watch T.V. and just hang out with us. As you can see from one of the photos, she has graduated from Adult Dog Obedience Level 1.  I am meeting with an administrator at our local nursing home/rehab center about starting monthly visits with Ginger.  I know she will bring much needed peace and joy to the patients. She is a dog with a purpose! Once again, please know what you are doing matters so much and we are very thankful for your good hearts.

- Love, Janet, Ginger & Family :)

Spot

On July 1st we adopted Spot from the Seattle Humane Society. We had been searching for a pup for about a month. We still remember walking down the hallway and seeing Spot's adorable paws and face up in the window. He sat down and started wiggling his butt and tail - we just knew we had to meet him! After hearing about his mystery of a past we decided that didn't matter and still had to meet him. He was the friendliest and cutest pup we had ever met! We instantly felt connected and things were "just right." We like to think he felt instantly at home because we didn't have any issues with the adjustment and he was magically already house and potty trained!

He graduated to level two of dog training within a month and is nearly at level three. He has learned so many tricks! He is learning to play with other dogs and overcome his fears, as well as getting along with our cat. He is the biggest snuggle bug and also loves running, hiking, and playing tug of war. He loves ropes, apples, carrots, playing with hose water, treats, and peanut butter. He hates green beans, peppermint scent, skateboards, and garbage trucks. Spot has an innate ability to comfort us when we are emotional and always makes us chuckle with his quirks.

It is hard to convey how deeply we love Spot and how grateful we are for your efforts in bringing him to us. Truly - how is it possible to love a pup so much?! Spot has become is a valuable part of our lives. Everyone that meets him states how friendly and handsome he is!

- Thanks a million, Brandi & Marshall
